The dark blue line on your map shows you to be nearing the town of Darkhaven. The township is surrounded by a lush, thick forest on three of its four sides that is full of life, history, and mysteries untold. The path leads further down to an open area and the most breathtaking sight of all looms there in the distance.
The littering of buildings, which is the town, inhabits the area at the base of a large mountain. A mighty waterfall roars before it spills and clashes with the rocks below, creating a shiny glitter to the marble like stones. The waterfall feeds a lake, and a river that flows through the land and valleys to eventually, pour out into the ocean. The closer you come to the town, you hear the sounds of street harkers, and dogs yapping, children giggle and play freely and happily. Many of the other shop owners shooing them off but with a smile on their face as they recall their younger days. It seems like a nice little town to explore, visit, and even live in. Why don’t you take a look around and see for yourself? Nestled in the valley, near a cool, crystal, clear lake, is the town of Darkhaven. As you enter the area, you are taken in by the locals with a observant glance, and then you are fully welcomed. Ask anyone where the best place to dine is and you will instantly be told of Clara's Inn and the hot cider that is famed throughout the land! There are many shops available to explore in Darkhaven. Our local seamstress, Frankie can literally create works of art in fabric; just tell her what you need. There is the local healer, Malyssa, whose practice involves the realm of plant and herbal cures, along with a remedy of her own. Leather crafters, blacksmiths, fruit and vegetable vendors, butcher shop, bakery, and a wealth of other places to see and explore. It would take all day to tell you about all of the shops, all of the things this town offers. Come see for yourself. Don’t mistake the kindness of the people here; some of them are not what they seem. There has been a rumor or two about a vampire and werewolf that roam about on those bright nights when the moon is full. So keep to your bed, weary traveler, and lock the door. If you are in need of the guidance, have a heavy burden upon your heart; see Wyndelyn, the local chapel's own priestess. She performs weddings and blesses new babies, and offers up prayers daily for the safety and well being of the locals. We all welcome you to Darkhaven. |
